Course Outline:
This Level 3 apprenticeship has been developed for delivery both in a training environment and on site in a working environment. It has been designed to develop and recognise your skills, knowledge, understanding and competence so you can work in Site Carpentry within the construction industry or progress to further training. As part of the Diploma, you will gain knowledge in three core subject areas: Health, Safety and Welfare, Technical Information, Quantities and Communication, Construction Industry and Built Environment. You will also learn key practical skills and knowledge in first fixing operations, second fixing operations, setting up and operating cutting and shaping machinery, erecting complex structural carcassing components, maintain non-structural and structural components.
As part of your apprenticeship you will also work towards:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Site Carpentry (Construction)
  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Wood Occupations (Construction) – Site Carpentry
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English (if required)
  • Employer Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
